If You Can We too Can!

If you can we too! I read a lot of reaction for and against the previous cartoon wherein Nehru is whipping the dalit-god, but it seems they have forgotten that gone are the days when we were suppressed, oppressed and brutalized. Today if you can, we too can

Brahminwaad versus Spermwaad!

What a pity! Even after 60 years of Indian Parliament, our country is even now not intact from the stigma of unaccountability and cast-ism. And the most bizarre scenario recently came to my notice is that of the sperm donation where the childless couples are demanding the sperms of only upper-cast- the Brahim. How ridiculous!

A Whip Means Much More here!

What pains you most here? Is it Ambedkar being whipped by Nehru or it is Gandhi being whipped by a Britisher.

The back is still bent

The Specs is still on

I don’t know whether the cartoon perfectly and appropriately defines the age (1949) as then no dalit was there in the crowd around to protest against, as in there was no second opinion. But this is really an anachronistic way for the cartoon to have appeared in 2006 when Ambedkar had attained a demigod status. I guess it is a deliberate attempt to mock since educators have to be very vigilant when it comes to history, given the controversies. Anyways, the silver lining is that Arun Shourie, the writer of the tome, should now be finally assured who is the BOSS of the constitution which he is forced to follow.  But sad the quality of cartoons has not changed much in 60 years. However, the cartoon involves my two favorite leaders who in their own way changed the course of history. A relic of times must say

हर कोई हमको मिला, पहने हुए नकाब। किसको अब अच्छा कहें, किसको कहें खराब।।

Ambedkar the great is a pot of hate, may be not for all, but for those who are fake. Nobody can bear him except the ones who understand what it means. For Dalits, he is a god, for No-dalits, he is nothing but a horn, which is blown when needed. The great creator of the Indian constitution is still a bone of contention for many, but some regard him as their granny. Let's understand, why does he keep so much of importance in the hearts of dalits, and why you are not still getting him honey.
